The Sanremo Marathon 2025 has unveiled its official medal, this year celebrating one of the city’s most recognizable symbols: the Primavera statue. Created in the 1920s by sculptor Vincenzo Pasquali, the statue stands on the Passeggiata dell’Imperatrice and represents an elegant figure that has long captured the attention of locals and visitors alike.
The Primavera statue is not alone: Sanremo also hosts two “twin” statues. Ondina is located on Corso Mombello, while Dea Flora, once at Villa Ormond, is currently undergoing restoration.
The medal faithfully reproduces the statue’s details, making it a small keepsake of the city’s art and history, as well as a symbol of the runner’s achievement. Participating in the Sanremo Marathon means carrying not only the satisfaction of completing the race but also a piece of Sanremo’s beauty.
