Italian Federation of Athletics &#8211; is organizing on Sunday, <strong>6 December 2026<\/strong> the 10th edition of the<strong> Competitive Race Sanremo Marathon,\u00a0<\/strong> road race with a distance of 42.195 km, included in the FIDAL calendar and classified as &#8221; National&#8221;.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Event: <strong>Sanremo Marathon\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Technical Organization: <strong>Comitato Organizzatore Sanremo Marathon<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Sports organization:<strong> Pro San Pietro<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Date:<strong> 6 December 2026 &#8211; issued by FIDAL, athletes licensed in Italy limited to persons of 20 years of age and older can participate if they are in possession of one of the following prerequisites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>athletes licensed for 2026 by a society affiliated with FIDAL;<\/li>\n<li>athletes in possession of a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete) limited to persons of 20 years and older. Participation is however subject to:<\/li>\n<li>either the presentation of a valid medical certificate for competitive light athletics, that must be shown to the organization in the original, and retained as a copy in the files of the organizing society of each event. The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued by their own country, but the same examinations have to be conducted as those required by the Italian rules.\n<ul>\n<li>medical visit;<\/li>\n<li>complete urine tests;<\/li>\n<li>electrocardiogram at rest and after activity;<\/li>\n<li>spirograph;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organizer of the validity of a medical certificate for competitive light athletics through the Runcard database;<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organization of the validity of a medical certificate of competitive light athletics through the app downloaded to some electronic device.<\/li>\n<li>athletes licensed by a Sports Promotion Entity (Athletic Section) in possession of Runcard-EPS; participation is however subject to, other than the possession of the RUNCARD:\n<ul>\n<li>either the presentation of a valid medical certificate of competitive light athletics, which must be shown to the organization in its original form, and retained as a copy in the files of the organizing society of each event. The medical certifcate for non-resident foreigners can be issued by their own country, but the same tests as those required by Italian rules must be carried out:\n<ul>\n<li>medical visit;<\/li>\n<li>complete urine test;<\/li>\n<li>electrocardiogram at rest and after activity;<\/li>\n<li>spirograph;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organizer of the validity of a medical certificate of competitive light athletics through the Runcard database;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organization of a medical certificate for competitive light athletics through the app downloaded by some electronic device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>2 \u2013 Athletes not licensed in Italy <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Italian athletes\/foreigners who are not licensed in Italy can participate, limited to persons of 20 years and older, if they are in possession of the following requisites:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>athletes with licenses of clubs affiliated with Overseas Federations of Light Athletics that are recognized by WA. At the time of registration they must alternatively present:\n<ul>\n<li>self-certification of possession of a license recognized by WA. The self-certification will then, however, be signed in the original at the time of collecting the race bib.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>athletes in possession of a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete) limited to persons of 20 years and older. Participation will however be subject to:\n<ul>\n<li>either presentation of a valid medical certificate for competitive light athletics which must be shown to the organizers in the original and retained as a copy in the files of the organixing society of each event. The medical certificate for non-resident foreigners can be issued in their own country, but the same examinations as those required by the Italian rules must be carried out:\n<ul>\n<li>medical visit;<\/li>\n<li>complete urine test;<\/li>\n<li>electrocardiogram at rest and after activity;<\/li>\n<li>spirograph;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organizer of the validity of a medical certificate of competitive light athletics through the Runcard database;<\/li>\n<li>or verification on the part of the organization of the validity of a medical certificate for competitive light athletics through the app downloaded on some electronic device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Participation for the purpose of tourism and sport for foreigners living abroad<\/h3>\n<p>According to the provisions of Art. 26 paragraph 4, 4.1 and 4.2 of the Rules for the Organisation of Events issued by FIDAL for the year 2026, the following may participate for the purposes of tourist-sporting foreign nationals resident outside of Italy may participate in the event if they are aged from 20 years of age (thousandth of age: 2006) onwards.<\/p>\n<p>These athletes will participate in a non-competitive event that does not fall under the aegis of the FIDAL, although taking place at the same time as the competitive event.<\/p>\n<p>These athletes will be identified with a different bib number and placed in an alphabetical order of arrival separate from the rankings of the competitive event and will not be eligible for prizes in in kind, in cash, vouchers, bonuses, engagements, reimbursement of expenses of any kind.<\/p>\n<p>In order to participate, these athletes must present a form signed and stamped by a doctor, certifying their fitness for participation in a non-competitive marathon on the basis of the health regulations in force in their country of citizenship.<\/p>\n<h3>Important notice (valid for all categories of participation):<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Athletes licensed by other Federations (e.g. Italian Triathlon Federation) or Promotional Sporting Organizations recognized by CONI can participate in respect of the rules set out for the RUNCARD-EPS \/ RUNCARD + medical certificate for Light Athletics<\/li>\n<li>Licensed athletes in possession of the Mountain &amp; Secretarial fees: 6%<\/p>\n<h3>THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE\u00a0 MARATHON INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>medical assistance;<\/li>\n<li>insurance;<\/li>\n<li>official medal of participation (for athletes ranked at the arrival);<\/li>\n<li><strong>technical T-shirt, reserved for those who register online, with payment forwarded by 19 november <\/strong>(the date when the organization receive the payment)<\/li>\n<li>race pack;<\/li>\n<li>race bib;<\/li>\n<li>timing service;<\/li>\n<li>refreshments\u00a0 along the route;<\/li>\n<li>final refreshments at the arrival;<\/li>\n<li>bag deposit;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>TIME LIMIT 42,195 km<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The maximum time limit to finish the race is fixed at <strong>6 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>COLLECTION OF TECHNICAL ENVELOPE AND RACE PACK<\/h3>\n<p>The technical envelope containing the bib and the chip, as well as the race pack of the 42,195 km, can be collected at the organization desk open on the days indicated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sanremomarathon.it\/en\/maratona\/program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Race Program<\/a> on the official website.<\/p>\n<p>The collection can be done by proxy upon presentation of the confirmation letter with all the documents requested by the same.<\/p>\n<h3>CLOTHING DEPOSIT SERVICE<\/h3>\n<p>Participants in the Marathon can leave their clothing before 8:30 at the stand specifically provided by the organization in the Finish area. The organization accepts no liability for any loss of property.<\/p>\n<h3>PRIZEGIVING<\/h3>\n<p><strong>The prize-giving ceremony of the Sanremo Marathon will take place approximately from 12 noon for the absolutes (approx. 30 minutes after the arrival of the last athlete to complete the podium) and approximately from 3 p.m. for the categories (30 minutes after the arrival of the last athlete, or after the end of the time limit).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The first three male and female absolute finishers will be awarded, the first three finishers in the Fidal categories.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the absolute ranking do not participate in the individual category awards.<\/p>\n<p>There are no cash prizes.<\/p>\n<h3>FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\n<p>Registration is personal and may not be transferred to another athlete and cannot be reimbursed in case of a failure to participate for any reason.<\/p>\n<h3>AFFILIATED HOTELS<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sanremomarathon.it\/en\/book-partner-hotels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Affiliated hotels<\/a> are bookable directly from the online registrations system of the official website.<\/p>\n<h3>PHOTOS OF THE PARTICIPANTS<\/h3>\n<p>A photography service will follow the race. Photos can be bought on site or on the days following the event.<\/p>\n<h3>FINAL WARNING<\/h3>\n<p>The organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to ensure better organization of the race, after having communicated to and obtained approval from FIDAL. For anything not covered by these regulations, the technical statutary rules of FIDAL and of the G.G.G. are valid.<\/p>\n<p>Any changes to services, locations and times will be suitably communicated to the registered athletes or will be reported on the website www.sanremomarathon.it In addition the documentation containing information essential for taking part in the race will be sent together with the race bib by the organization.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Privacy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With registration to the Sanremo Marathon, the athlete authorizes the organization with the treatment of personal data for purposes of the management of registration and related services (such as the official photographic service), and the timing service, the rankings, as well as the periodic provision of news about the event, the area where it is being held, and other similar events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Image rights<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the registration to the\u00a0 Sanremo Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the Organization, along with sponsors and media partners, with the acquisition of the right to use still or motion images in which the participant might appear, in all media including promotional and\/or advertising material all over the world and for the maximum time allowed by law, the regulations and treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the planned period<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Organization\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Organizing Committee Sanremo Marathon<\/strong><\/em><br \/>Corso Garibaldi 132 c\/o Studio Corrent Forghieri<br \/>18038 Sanremo IM<\/p>\n<p>with the contribution of Pro San Pietro and Sanremo Rugby.<br \/>and in collaboration with NYALA WONDER TRAVEL d.m.c. Participation is however subject to:<\/li>\r\n \t<li>either the presentation of a valid medical certificate for competitive light athletics, that must be shown to the organization in the original, and retained as a copy in the files of the organizing society of each event. At the time of registration they must alternatively present:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>self-certification of possession of a license recognized by Iaaf. Secretarial fees: 5%\r\n\r\n*Free enrollments must be asked by sending an email from the website.\r\n<h3>THE REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE\u00a0 MARATHON INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>medical assistance;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>insurance;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>official medal of participation (for athletes ranked at the arrival);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>technical T-shirt, reserved for those who register online, with payment forwarded by 20\/11\/2021 (the date when the organization receive the payment)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>race pack;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>race bib;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>timing service;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>refreshments\u00a0 along the route;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>final refreshments at the arrival;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>bag deposit;<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>TIME LIMIT 42,195 km<strong>\r\n<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThe maximum time limit to finish the race is fixed at <strong>6 hours<\/strong>.\r\n<h3>COLLECTION OF TECHNICAL ENVELOPE AND RACE PACK<\/h3>\r\nThe technical envelope containing the bib and the chip, as well as the race pack of the 42,195 km, can be collected at the organization desk open on the days indicated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sanremomarathon.it\/en\/maratona\/program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Race Program<\/a> on the official website.\r\n\r\nThe collection can be done by proxy upon presentation of the confirmation letter with all the documents requested by the same.\r\n<h3>CLOTHING DEPOSIT SERVICE<\/h3>\r\nParticipants in the Marathon can leave their clothing before 8:30 at the stand specifically provided by the organization in the Finish area. The organization accepts no liability for any loss of property.\r\n<h3>PRIZEGIVING<\/h3>\r\nThe awarding of prizes for the Marathon will take place on 5 December 2021 at 3.00 p.m..\r\n\r\nThe first three male and female absolute finishers will be awarded, the first three finishers in the Fidal categories.\r\n<h3>FAILURE TO PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\r\nRegistration is personal and may not be transferred to another athlete and cannot be reimbursed in case of a failure to participate for any reason.\r\n\r\n<strong>Re:gulatory changes, taking into account the updateof the Covid-19 situation<\/strong>\r\nThose entitled to or who must access the competition site must be in possession of a\r\none of the green CoVID-19 certifications and, for follow-up, deliver\r\nanti-CoVID19 self-declaration:\r\n1. Green CoVID-19 certification valid on the date of the competition, which can be\r\nreleased after administration of the first dose of vaccine and is valid from\r\nfifteenth day following up to the date scheduled for the administration of\r\nsecond dose (in case of double dose vaccine). The green certification has in any case\r\na validity of nine months from the end of the vaccination cycle;\r\nTreatment of a Sars-CoV-2 infection valid on the date of the competition (validity 6\r\nmonth);\r\n3. perform rapid molecular or antigenic test with negative result for viruses\r\nSars-CoV-2 (valid for 48 hours, valid on the date of the competition).\r\nThe above provisions do not apply to subjects excluded by age from the campaign\r\nvaccination and exempt subjects on the basis of a specific medical certificate issued pursuant to\r\nthe criteria defined in a circular of the Ministry of Health.\r\nThere will be no sponges on the course\r\nAt the refreshment points along the route there will be only bottled water and packaged products\r\nsingle portion.\r\nThe start must be made with the mask worn for the first 500 meters, it will be\r\npresent a figure indicated by the organization who will specify in the appropriate space the\r\npossibility to remove it.\r\nThe masks will be worn again upon arrival and for refueling.\r\nNo pasta party but each runner will be given a bag\r\nonly refreshment.\r\nThere will be no possibility to shower and use the changing rooms\r\nThe finish medal will be delivered with the refreshment package.\r\nBody temperature will be measured at the beginning of each race\r\n<h3>AFFILIATED HOTELS<\/h3>\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/sanremomarathon.it\/en\/book-partner-hotels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Affiliated hotels<\/a> are bookable directly from the online registrations system of the official website.\r\n<h3>PHOTOS OF THE PARTICIPANTS<\/h3>\r\nA photography service will follow the race. Photos can be bought on site or on the days following the event.\r\n<h3>FINAL WARNING<\/h3>\r\nThe organization reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time in order to ensure better organization of the race, after having communicated to and obtained approval from FIDAL. event, the area where it is being held, and other similar events.\r\n\r\n<strong>Image rights<\/strong>\r\n\r\nWith the registration to the\u00a0 San Remo Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the Organization, along with sponsors and media partners, with the acquisition of the right to use still or motion images in which the participant might appear, in all media including promotional
